THE FOREST KING is a short on Amazon Prime that was made at Lakeside Animation and Directed by Lubomir Arsov. It was a fusion of 2D/3D styles.

The Forest King is a AI Avatar that lures unsuspecting victims to steal their souls. I got to explore a lot of different versions and Lubo was generous enough to let me take creative freedom and explore lots of different designs. The key for the king’s design was to make him creepy and robotic but also incorporate medieval influences with a sense of decay.

I also explored some of the other inhabitants and props of the sci fi dystopian world. It was a very collaborative and creatively rewarding project to be a part of.
